Nairobi, Kenya | October 12-15, 2026 Hosted by Jitolee Good Friends Foundation

Welcome to the Global Pro-bono Summit Africa 2026!

The Global Pro-bono Summit Africa is the continent's premier summit that brings together thought leaders, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, the private sector, and grassroots communities to engage in meaningful discussions on professional volunteerism and chart a way forward.

Organized by the Jitolee Good Friends Foundation together with various State and Non-State actors, the Summit marks a significant milestone in our journey towards institutionalizing impact, providing a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and innovative architectures in the pro-bono sector.

The Conference is set to take place from October 12 to 15 in Nairobi, Kenya. This year's core message:

"Professionalism in Service: Pro-bono as a Catalyst for Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice."

Reminds us that volunteering is not just an act of charity, but an opportunity to offer equitable, structured, and sustainable capacity building for all communities.

Unlocking Africa's Potential through Professional Volunteerism

Translating individual acts of goodwill into sustainable, institutional frameworks.

For decades, volunteerism in Africa has been characterized by informal, ad-hoc initiatives. While these grassroots efforts are commendable, there is an urgent need to elevate pro-bono service into structured, professional engagements that drive systemic change.

This year's theme challenges corporations, legal fraternities, tech hubs, and governments to embed pro-bono work into their core operational policies. By aligning high-tier professional skills with the most pressing needs of underserved communities, we can unlock unprecedented socio-economic growth. The Summit explores how public-private partnerships can seamlessly facilitate cross-border skill exchanges, foster ESG compliance, and ultimately institutionalize impact across the continent.
